Yaniv Station is as close to a station as Pripyat came. So much so that some people referred to it as Pripyat Station. For a while the short run between Semykhody and Yaniv remained active as the yard and surrounds were used by contractors at the power plant.
The station called Shepelychi lies 8km from the small village of the same name. This station is actually in Burakivka, one of two covering barely 1.5km of track.
Moving west the next station is Burakivka. This area is famed for being one of several disposal sites used to bury radioactive waste in the shallow trenches lines with clay. The clay is to prevent contact with groundwater.
